In response to the media report “contractor intended to smuggle cloth abroad and was captured”, the Ministry of National Defense pointed out that the manufacturer contracted the digital camouflage carrying bag of the national army for the first time, and the 205^th factory of the Armaments Bureau performed its contractual duty and took supervision, and then discovered that the cloth storage of the contractor is inconsistent with the actual material requisition, and actively began the investigation yesterday (September 6^th), and then the manufacturer admitted that the batch of cloth had been loaded and storage at the Kaohsiung Dock and planned to export to China for cutting and processing.

The Ministry of National Defense pointed out that the behavior of the supplier has seriously violated the terms of the contract that the manufacture process is limited in ROC area, and the 205^th factory of the Armaments Bureau requested that the cloth should be immediately shutout and return to the 205^th factory, and terminate the contract and confiscate the performance bond according to terms of the contract.

The Ministry of National Defense emphasized that the release of national defense resources to enterprises is corresponding with the overall economic development policy of the country, and it will strengthen the supervision of the performance of enterprise contractors to ensure the conformity with law and the goods are delivered on schedule and the quality of goods is in accordance with the contract. The Ministry should supervise strictly to avoid similar case occur in the future.
